Vacuum Lifters for Stone Fabrication Shops
Move granite slabs, marble countertops, and engineered stone panels safely through your shop. Quattrolifts vacuum lifters are built for fabricators who handle stone every day.
Stone fabrication shops lift heavy slabs constantly, from raw slab storage through CNC cutting, edge profiling, polishing, and final delivery. Manual handling is slow and risks chipping finished edges or injuring crew. Quattrolifts vacuum lifters give small-to-medium fabrication teams the mechanical advantage to move stone faster and with fewer people.
How It Works
Slab Weight and Machine Capacity
A full 3 cm granite slab typically weighs between 300 lb and 800 lb depending on dimensions. Choose a Quattrolifts machine with at least 20% capacity above your heaviest slab. For shops that also move large engineered stone and quartzite panels, a mid-range machine in the 660 lb to 880 lb class covers most production work.
Cup Layout for Stone Surfaces
Granite and natural stone surfaces can be porous or have micro-fractures that affect cup seal. Quattrolifts cups are designed for stone and tested on polished, honed, and brushed finishes. Avoid using glass-optimized cup sets on raw or rough-sawn surfaces; confirm cup compatibility with our team before ordering.
Tilt for Slab Loading and Countertop Placement
Loading slabs from horizontal storage into a vertical A-frame rack and placing finished countertops in tight kitchen runs both require tilt capability. A machine with 90-degree tilt covers both moves without manual repositioning. For overhead slab storage, look for machines that can work in both horizontal and vertical picking positions.
Indoor Use and Dust Environments
Fabrication shops run CNC routers, wet saws, and polishers in enclosed spaces with significant dust. Battery-powered vacuum systems are preferred indoors because they produce no engine exhaust. Quattrolifts battery models are rated for indoor use. Clean the vacuum filters regularly in dusty fabrication environments to maintain consistent lift force.
Delivery and Field Installation
Many fabricators deliver and install their own countertops. A portable vacuum lifter that fits in a work van or pickup bed lets the same machine used on the shop floor handle field installations. Look for compact folding frames and a machine weight under 100 lb for two-person portability.
